Why is this the reality for most of us? It’s a fact that less than 10% of us actually achieve our New Year’s resolutions and nearly 50 % of us will give up by February. Because -it all comes down to our belief system and our willpower. Willpower is a depletable source, it is like a battery, which drains when used, but can re-charge with time. But there is hope – there are ways to improve your willpower.

We do need our willpower at an optimum functioning level for all those “I want” “I will” and “I won’t” decisions we make during our day. Here are a few things you can do to maintain your will power and avoid depleting it.

  1. Get adequate sleep, a minimum of seven continuous hours in a 24 hour cycle
  2. Avoid ongoing stressful situations, if a unavoidable, remember to step back an pause
  3. Exercise regularly
  4. Healthy diet (avoid refined foods)

Hypnotherapy is also an exceptionally good method for dealing with stress and to promote relaxation. It is also used, very successfully, to change limiting beliefs and shifting of old habits.

Make 2017 the year that you achieve you resolutions.
