I thought I was finished with all the hard process work and the letting go of the past and that the healing was complete. I can still remember, sitting and waiting for the Workshop to begin while in the background, music was playing, then I started to focus on the words “Doors closing, doors opening. Doors closing doors I’m opening. I am safe, it’s only change. I am safe it’s only change”. Today I still chant these words to divert any negative emotions when things appear not to be going my way or when I feel like door has been slammed, tightly shut in my face. By just singing this little, song now, I am reminded, that for every shut door a new door will open and we can create our own reality. As the Workshop progressed, I found myself more and more letting go of my limiting beliefs and negative thoughts and by the end of the Workshop, I had experienced such a profound shift and a much deeper understanding of who I am and what I can achieve and above all, to love myself.
THE BASIC PHILOSOPHY EMBRACED BY LOUISE HAY
In the first chapter of her book, “You can Heal your Life”, Louise Hay, expands on the philosophy, in which she was trained. Once you understand these simple basic philosophies you automatically open yourself up for positive change. You learn how damaging your negative thoughts and words are in your daily life. For example just by simply avoiding certain words, which have a negative connotation,such as “Try". So, instead of saying “I will try and finish this ....”, you begin to understand the importance of rather saying “I am going to finish this ....” Or “I am willing to finish this ...”
These nine points of Basic Philosophy, are the paving stones for a new pathway to success and happiness by letting go of the past and all the limiting beliefs it holds. By the end of the 10 Weeks, you will have learnt to leave behind the rocky paths and narrow ways and short cuts. On this new pathway, you find life's journey so much easier and far more prosperous.

SOME PERSONAL COMMENTS
1. MIRROR WORK
On the workshop I attend, I was introduced to mirror work. At first I thought I knew what it was, after all we look out ourselves every day in a mirror and nothing special happens. Was I wrong, this was an extremely humbling experience, to really look into the reflection of my eyes and say out loud “Julie, I really love you” and to say it with utter conviction! I felt the tears wanting to roll down as wave upon wave of emotion battered my fragile ego. The life raft that prevented me from drowning in that sea of emotion, was the understanding that by just acknowledging that I am worthy of loving myself, I will not drown. Yes, initially there is a lot of resistance to mirror work, it is challenging, but also very cathartic and liberating.
The accuracy, of the probable emotional cause for our physical problems/ailments, as outlined by Louise Hay , is rated at about 93% on average.
There is certainly a lot evidence to support this, for example:-
The work of Candice Pert “The emotions are the link between the physical body and the nonphysical state of consciousness, and the receptors on every cell are where this happens” .
Deepak Chopra also stated that “There are receptors to these molecules in your immune system, in your gut and in your heart. So when you say, 'I have a gut feeling' or 'my heart is sad' or 'I am bursting with joy,' you're not speaking metaphorically. You're speaking literally.”
Every thought has an emotional reaction in our bodies and a thought lasts 3 seconds, so you can begin to imagine the impact a negative thought has if we spend a waking day ruminating. We can bombard our bodies about 1200 times an hour or 19200 times in a waking day with negative emotional responses. By simply changing our thoughts and releasing negative emotions, we can heal our bodies from the inside out. If negative emotions can create such havoc in our bodies, just imagine what the positive emotions can do!
How many of us have heard a doctor say “All the tests show there is nothing wrong” and your immediate response is “So it’s all in my mind doctor?” The medical profession do have a term for this, it is referred to as “Medically unexplained Symptoms”. Surprisingly, there are quite a few “illnesses” that fall into this category, for example Irritable Bowel Syndrome and can also include, headaches and heart palpitations. It doesn't mean the symptoms are faked or "all in the head" – they're real and can affect your ability to function properly. These “dis-eases” can be treated by simple changing your mind set. Another example is, Essential Hypertension, which is mainly caused by stress. Which goes to shows just how our emotional state can influence our blood pressure!
On a person note, I have experienced how by changing your thoughts, you can improve your health.
